When it began, Anan Clinica focused solely on expanding local knowledge on health and related subjects (such as hygiene, malnutrition, sexuality and reproduction) and offering basic health care in the local communities in Mozambique.
Experience has taught us that good health goes hand-in-hand with many other aspects of life in a community, and this is why Anan Clinica has expanded its activities to education, agriculture and water management.
We have now set up a primary school, a nursery school, the first vegetable garden and the first water project in the village of Nanatha, Nampula Province.
The small-scale projects have been created by local and foreign volunteers and various donors.
These are the first of many great steps toward improving the welfare of the population. The road is a long one however, and we can use all the help we can get.
